The 87-year-old Bogle calls it the “most chaotic election within my memory” and says that as a Republican he questions whether Trump has the “character and background” to be President. Despite the uncertainty, he adds, continue to save for retirement, but do review your asset allocation. A good starting point, he notes, is 65% stocks and 35% bonds, with a heavier allocation to stocks if you’re younger, and to bonds if you’re older.
